Nicaragua

A country known for its dramatic terrain of lakes, volcanoes and beaches. I wasn’t here for too long but a volcano hike was definitely in my sights. The ten hour ascend started at 6am, weaving within thick jungle at high humidity and pulling ourselves over car sized volcanic boulders. We reached the summit around 2pm and on the way down we were greeted by howler monkeys who made the most amazing noises - it was a truly fulfilling jungle atmosphere.
